FIFTEEN MINUTES OF FAME
FEATURE FILM
Novel by Jason Fabbri
Screenplay by Anna Westall

Felicity Scalding has major problems. She's been dumped by her beautiful toyboy boyfriend and she's broke due to both her gambling addiction and lack of talent at gambling. Worst of all, she's a 90s pop has been with absolutely no chance of getting back into the limelight. Oh, and she also has a stalker. But everything is going to be totally fine, especially now she has a new job as the headline judge of Quickfame, the tenth best talent show in America.
Layton was born to be a star. Genderqueer and desperately uncomfortable in British suburbia, he's the lead singer of talented boyband Shivvr and the Quakes. When he meets Felicity whilst performing at an underwhelming pub gig, her offer to catapult him to stardom seems too good to be true. Spoiler alert, it is. But, nevertheless, Layton and his band agree to be managed by Felicity and to compete in Quickfame with her backing.

Fifteen Minutes of Fame follows Felicity, Layton and a cast of colourful supporting characters through the initial stages of Quickfame to the grand finale. It asks the questions: is fame really worth it, do you have to comprise who you really are to be adored and who can be bothered to stalk Felicity Scalding? If you liked 'Daisy and the Six' or 'Almost Famous' you'll love 'Fifteen Minutes of Fame.'
